Introduction

Believing the basic principles of science of Homoeopathy, Dr. Girish Gupta laid down the foundation of his dream on October 2, 1982 in a small two room set as clinic-cum-residence which was named as Gaurang Clinic in 1986 Later, after long struggle and hard work the clinic was uplifted in a Research Centre with the addition of the Clinical Pathology and Medical Mycology laboratories and renamed as Gaurang Clinic and Centre for Homoeopathic Research (GCCHR) in 1996.

Starting the work as One Man Show Dr. Gupta later build up a team of sincere physicians, scientists and several other para-medical professionals who joined their hands with him to move towards a common theme, putting their sincere efforts.

The tremendous faith of patients in Dr. Gupta for providing best medical services which the centre gained was not in a sudden flight but required the dedication and commitment of like-minded professionals of various streams. Various research projects supported by modern software are running in the Centre under the guidance of the Chief Consultant. Over the years, GCCHR has earned tremendous goodwill for its dedication towards best treatment to patients through Homoeopathic Science.

GCCHR is determined to clear all the misconceptions about this science by creating awareness among the masses. GCCHR is also committed to bridge the gap between science and Homoeopathy by research and development in collaboration with the scientists. Dr. Girish Gupta and his team are working with a common mission ‘COMMITTED TO BRING HOMOEOPATHY IN MAINSTREAM OF SCIENCE’.

DREAM:
Gaurang Clinic and Centre for Homoeopathic Research (GCCHR) at Lucknow would have been a dream of many leading practitioners and Homoeopathic physicians of modern era.

The faith of patients which this centre gained was not in a sudden flight but required the dedication and commitment of team of like minded professionals of various disciplines who joined hands with Dr. Gupta along with many more paramedical personals who burnt their midnight oil in achieving the goal to take Gaurang Clinic and Centre for Homoeopathic Research at greater a height.

FOUNDATION:
The seeds of this centre were sown on October 2nd, 1982 in a small clinic–cum–residence by Dr. Girish Gupta, an outstanding Homoeopathic physician with a scientific bent of mind, determined to do "Something Significant" and redefine Homoeopathy on modern scientific lines.

Later the clinic upgraded in a Research Centre and renamed as "Gaurang Clinic and Centre for Homoeopathic Research (GCCHR)" in 1996 with the addition of the Clinical Pathology and Medical Mycology labs. GCCHR with a determination to clear all misconceptions about this science by creating awareness among masses with commitment to bridge the gap between science and Homoeopathy by research and development is located at B–1/41, Sector–A, Kapoorthala, Aliganj, Lucknow.

Dr. Gupta and his team are working with a mission ‘COMMITTED TO BRING HOMOEOPATHY IN MAINSTREAM OF SCIENCE’. He neither stopped studying Homoeopathy with research orientation nor refrained from applying his scientific brain while treating the patients for their benefit.

Today he is not only one of the successful and leading practitioners in Homoeopathy but a researcher in this field. A direct fall out of his deep–rooted interest in research and an endeavour to contribute Homoeopathy resulted into flood of awards and recognition.



AIMS

CLINICAL :
Dr. Gupta’s approach to the treatment is entirely different. He kept on using his scientific brain in treating patients and never stopped studying Homoeopathy with research orientation. Giving permanent cure requires study of the personality of the individual for which each patient is individualized considering the mental, physical and disease proper symptoms for selecting the remedy.

RESEARCH :
Over the years, GCCHR has been successfully conducting research on various projects on different diseases and have obtained high cure rates for several ailments. These research projects help in confirming the response of the Homoeopathic drugs in the treatment of difficult to cure diseases
  • Clinical Research:
    Various clinical research projects are being carried out like:– Gall Bladder stones, Fungal infection of Skin, Hair, Nail and Oral mucosa, Benign hypertrophy of Prostate, Kidney stones, Chronic Renal Failure, Uterine Fibroids/Ovarian Cysts, Allergic rhinitis, Liver diseases, Tumors, Cerebro–Vascular accidents, Arthritis (Rheumatoid, Rheumatic and Gout), Fibroadenoma of breast, Gastro–Intestinal disorders, Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Migraine, Warts, Blood Dyscrasias and Cancer etc.
  • Experimental Research:
    In – vitro screening of Homoeopathic drugs against several pathogenic fungi like Candida albicans, Trichophyton, Aspergillus and Microsporum etc. is being done in the Medical Mycology laboratory of the centre. Apart from this effect of forbidden meal like onion, garlic, cardamom etc. on the efficacy of Homoeopathic drugs is also being tested in this lab.
PUBLICATION :
GCCHR is publishing the results of various research projects in the form of brochures, Newsletter and in Journals of India and abroad.
  • Brochures
    Several brochures have been released in Hindi on different difficult to cure diseases.
  • Jigyasa
    This is a magazine launched by GCCHR in 1996 to create awareness in the public and to update the physicians about different aspects of the research and various achievements of the Centre.
TRAINING:
GCCHR is imparting clinical training to fresh homoeopathic graduates to have practical experience and thorough comprehension of finer points of clinical practice under the expertise of Dr. Girish Gupta. The recipients of training at GCCHR are spreading the light of Homoeopathic system in their respective cities. For training, fresh Homoeopathic graduates (BHMS) should submit their resume to the Chief Consultant.


SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:
A full time Computer Programmer has developed different indigenous software for the research and analysis of response of Homoeopathic drugs against various diseases and issuing the reports of various investigations being performed at GCCHR.
He is actively engaged in managing the entire computer-based programmes, hardwares and softwares viz. Analysis of patients’ data, monitoring and analysis of various mycoses and routine mycological reporting.
